Last year we went for a trip to the mountains. It was our final year at school and probably the last chance to go somewhere together. Some of us were going to travel abroad or find a job soon. One of our classmates, Lucy, couldnt go with us because she was taking her driving theory test. That was really unlucky; we knew she was the only person who knew mountains so well we wouldnt get lost. Unfortunately, she stayed in the city to prepare and take her test. In the meantime, we packed our bags, bought tickets for the train and set off. On the second day of our trip, we got lost in the forest on our way up a big mountain. I dont actually know how it happened, we just started talking and laughing and didnt look at the map for a long time. Then we suddenly realised we were lost. It was getting dark and we were out of range so contacting anyone was impossible. The only thing we could do was to put up a tent and stay there for the night. On the next morning, an elderly woman woke us up. It turned out we were not far away from a small village, but in a very dangerous area anyway. Lots of wild animals lived there. The woman showed us the way to the village. As soon as we walked down, I got a message from Lucy. She had failed her theory test. She could have gone with us, that would have made a huge difference.
